Our Work
As a collaborative, we focus our efforts on:
Gathering a hui of families, service providers, medical professionals, government officials, and community leaders to build a trustworthy, family-centered, and locally-rooted support system for Maui County families.
Promoting practices & protocols that reflect and respect the diversity of Maui County communities so that families who have been institutionally excluded or neglected feel safe and trust can grow.
Uplifting screenings & referrals to provide chance for early detection & choice in connected interventions.
Building accessible resources for families to easily engage in health services that meet families where they are.
Developing family leadership to strengthen early childhood programs & services through the expertise of lived experience & self-determination.
Rooting data collection & analysis practices to place to represent our communities’ experiences accurately & authentically.
Sharing what we learn with others and integrating those lessons into future plans to meaningfully inform program design, implementation, and quality improvement efforts for the benefit of Maui County ‘ohana.
